Changes were aplenty as Chevy started moved to the third generation for the 1968 model year. Coupes said goodbye to fastback windows which were replaced with removable back windows and T-tops. Pop-up headlights were no longer electrical but now vacuum operated. Door openers were given push buttons to access the interior, an option only used on the 1968 model.

The first C3 was given a nut and bolt, body-off restoration. This classic still retains its original body and was repainted in Corvette Bronze, and the inside features dark orange vinyl. The interior was given Astro-Ventilation" for improved airflow throughout the cabin, and a new fiber-optic monitoring system was embedded in the dash.
