It’s obvious that since the restoration, this “Triple Black” C1 Corvette has been well cared for, starting with the silky smooth black paint. Immaculate brightwork add the perfect accenting, along with stainless knock-off hubcaps and wide whitewall bias-belted tires.

Whatever your mood, with three roof options this car will satisfy you. On sunny days with good weather, leaving the top wide open for the air to rush through the interior is the obvious choice. If necessary, you can also open up the custom black cloth top, which is shaped ideally for a presentable profile from any angle. The third option is the optional factory hardtop.

A correct 283ci V8 with dual 4bbl carbs works with an A10 4-speed transmission. Ready for a show, the engine compartment has been detailed to perfection. There’s an updated Speedway shifter, but the rest of the interior has been lovingly maintained in its original form, including the instruments and controls. The layout even contains the “Wonder Bar” radio and all the correct chrome trim for an authentic presentation.

Part of the first generation of the Corvette, called the C1 the 1961 model year featured a big redesign impacting mostly the rear portion of the car. The “duck tail” or “tail lift” actually influenced the design of the C2 Stingray when it debuted in 1963, plus it was the first time the iconic four taillights configuration was used for the Corvette. If you want to own this beautiful and historically significant ’63 Corvette, it’s being sold through Art & Speed Classic Car Gallery.
