A four-inch lift and 35-inch tires have this Jeep riding high.

Special-edition Jeeps are a great way to add a little exclusivity to America's most iconic off-roader, and one of Jeep's most popular of such models is the Golden Eagle. I mean, who doesn't remember Daisy Duke's CJ-7 Golden Eagle from the Dukes of Hazzard? On the smaller CJ-5, this package wasn't introduced until the 1977 model year, but Streetside Classics has a cool 1976 Jeep CJ-5 Golden Eagle Tribute up for sale.

Like the production CJ-5 Golden Eagle, which was available from 1977 until the CJ-5 was killed off in 1983, this tribute sports the "Golden Eagle" script on the hood as well as the eagle decal on the hood. This CJ-5 also has the Levi's Edition fender badges that signifies the unique seat coverings inside. With the exception of the Pioneer audio system, the interior of this CJ-5 looks bone stock, and there's even a bikini top to help keep the front passengers a little shade when cruising around.

While it's a tribute to the Golden Eagle, the overall look of this Jeep looks pretty stock. That being said, it is a Jeep, so this one is ready for any terrain with a four-inch suspension lift and is fitted with 35x12.5R15LT Mickey Thompson Baja Claw tires on 15-inch classic Mickey Thompson wheels. There's even a remote-operated Warn XD 9000i winch in case this Jeep is called upon to help lesser off-roaders get unstuck.

Perhaps the biggest modification made to this 1976 Jeep CJ-5 is the engine. While the CJ-5 was offered with a variety of engines (four-, six- and eight-cylinder engines), AMC's 401 CID V8 was not available on any CJ, but that's what's under the hood of this Jeep. This was the largest engine AMC ever made, and it was used in a variety of vehicles in the 1970s including the Jeep Wagoneer, AMC Javelin and even the International Travelall. On this Jeep, the big V8 is paired with a three-speed manual topped with a Hurst shift knob.
