This beautiful 1966 Chevrolet Corvette L79 is ready to cross the auction block through GAA Classic Car Auctions. You don’t want to miss out on the chance to get behind the wheel of this pristine C2 convertible, so feel free to register here.
Providing the heartbeat of this second-generation Vette is an L79 327cui V8 topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and equipped with a mild hydraulic camshaft. The engine has been completely gone through and in immaculate shape, and it is rated at 350-horsepower and 360 lb/ft of torque. Transferring power down to the rear wheels is a close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission. Harmonizing with the 8-cylinder small-block and adding to the performance is a chambered exhaust system.
Slathered in Nassau Blue, the exterior appears to be in excellent condition with a contrasting white convertible top. According to the listing, a hardtop cover is also included with the car. Replica wheels wrapped with bias-ply style tires sit on all four corners. Hiding behind the wheels are hydraulic vented four-wheel disc brakes that bring this classic to a halt.
Inside, the blue theme continues with matching blue vinyl seats, carpet, door panels, and dashboard. A large wooden steering wheel breaks up the blue along with chrome and black accents throughout. Jams play through the factory AM/FM radio, and factory air conditioning keeps everybody comfortable inside the cabin.
If this '66 Stingray would make the perfect addition to your garage, mark your calendars for Friday, November 8th for when it is due to cross the auction stage. Be sure to check out GAA Classic Car Auctions and register to bid on this beauty. This classic gem is anxiously awaiting long weekend cruises and banging gears with the top down. You can't go wrong with a classic Corvette.
