The unofficial name for the 365 GTB/4, of course, is the Ferrari Daytona since the car's debut in 1968 came shortly after Ferrari's 1-2-3 victory at the 1967 24 Hours of Daytona endurance race. Only 1,406 Daytonas were produced between 1968 and 1973, which means this 1973 365 GTB/4 was among the last to roll off the line.
The Ferrari 365 GTB/4 is instantly recognizable by its long, sloped hood, the hidden pop-up headlights and the large amber turn signal lenses, but every inch of this car's design is a stunning show of Ferrari's craftsmanship even in the late '60s. The fastback roof design gives the 365 GTB/4 a racecar-like profile, while the iconic Campagnolo wheels finish off this Ferrari's look. This car underwent a full "nut and bolt" restoration in the '90s including a rebuild of the original engine and drivetrain.
Under that long hood is a numbers-matching 4.4-liter, four-cam Colombo V12 topped with six Weber twin-choke 40 mm carburetors. This engine was rated at 352 horsepower allowing the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 to offer superb performance capabilities including 0-60 time of just over five seconds and a top speed of over 170 mph. And as an exclamation of just how well-kept this Ferrari has been over the years, the odometer is showing just under 49,000 miles!
