The Missouri-resident has recreated the Ghost Busters Ecto-1, the DeLoreon from back to the Future, and a few Dumb & Dumber Mutt Cutts wagons among others.

It's not everyday you pass by the Ecto-1 on the road, but in Blue Summit, Missouri the chances are might be a little higher. Even more, locals may have crossed paths with other household-name movie cars we all know and love. Joe Pace owns Joe Pace's Movie cars, and he certainly turns heads when cruising around town.

Now living the good life, the Ecto-1 wasn't quite the attention-grabber when Pace first acquired it. In fact, he stumbled across the 1959 Cadillac ambulance in a field and took it home for just $500. Once in his possession, he meticulously transformed it into his version of the Ghost Busters car even adding a poltergeist containment system. If that wasn't enough, five pounds of phosphorus was mixed into the paint so it glows in the dark. A huge Slimer is planted on the hood that obviously houses a bigger motor.

Not only has he remade his interpretation of the Ecto-1, Pace's very first movie car recreation was the 1985 DeLoreon from Back To The Future. Building the 88-mph time machine kickstarted Pace's hobby, and now he has 13 cars. With the help of his friends, they built three of the "Mutt Cutts" shaggin' wagons from Dumb and Dumber. One car collector bought one of the Mutt Cutts wagons for $25,000 while another sold for $25,000. While he has sold some of the cars he built, the others are rented out for special events.

Pace says that even going to the gas station can turn into a frenzy with kids and adults alike flocking around. While the kids love the car, it really brings back memories for adults who grew up watching these films.

Missouri residents near Independence can see the Ghost Busters Ecto-1 in person at the Chrsler Lights display from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
