Rare 2009 Chevy Corvette Z06 3LZ GT1 Coupe Up For Bids

To commemorate the eight team championships claimed by the C6.R during the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) over its 10-year span, GM created a limited-edition GT1 package for the Chevy Corvette. Even more appropriate, the Corvette GT1 package was unveiled at Sebring International Raceway. Republic Auctions is pleased to offer one this rare 2009 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 3LZ GT1 Coupe with just 28 actual miles on the clock. Only 125 of these special-edition Corvettes were produced total and only 17 were black Z06 editions like this example. This race-inspired limited-edition Vette is due to cross the auction stage on the weekend of November 22nd and 23rd, 2019 in Dallas, Texas.

The GT1 edition only was available in just two colors, black or yellow. This particular Z06 GT1 comes in black and features yellow and silver contrasting accents. Even more, the team's ALMS GT1 championships from 2001-2008 are listed at the bottom of the passenger doors in silver along with C6.R-inspired driver flags and Corvette Racing logo on the roof. A full-width spoiler is attached to the rear, and attractive chrome wheels sit on all four corners.

Powering the car is an LS7 7.0-liter V8 engine with an output of 505-horsepower backed by a manual 6-speed transmission that transfers power down to the rear wheels. A special engine cover features a carbon fiber pattern complete with yellow Corvette lettering. This car is equipped with the Z51 Performance Package and features an NPP Performance exhaust.
