Collecting intimidating old pickups is fun.

If you’re looking for the perfect way to both spook and impress the neighbors as well as roll wherever you want, this 1976 Chevrolet Cheyenne Stepside is the way to do it. While this truck looks about as clean as can be, it also has the chops to pull you through all kinds of terrain and difficult weather conditions. In other words, this is a classic vehicle for people who like to leave the comfort of paved roads behind at least from time to time.

Look over that beautifully squared body and you’re not going to see a speck of rust. The gray paint with a hammered texture is in good condition and adds some real interest. Black accessories like steel bumpers, side steps, and a big grille guard really complete the look. You also get a nice LED light bar mounted up front for when you need the extra illumination, plus LED brake lights so you’ll stick out like a sore thumb to other drivers.

Thanks to the 6-inch lift on this Chevrolet it looks extra athletic. I also helps ensure those massive 37-inch tires aren’t rubbing on the fenders. Dual gas tanks keep the Chevy 350ci small block V8 well-fed, while a 350 Turbo transmission smooths everything out. Stainless steel headers and a new dual exhaust system help with the exhale, plus help this beast to really roar. Of course, four-wheel drive is included on this truck, making it a monster off-roader.

A surprisingly comfortable cab greets you, complete with soft upholstered seats, white-faced Dolphin gauges, a modern sound system, CB radio, and a locking center console. This setup is great for rolling around town or heading out into nature.

It sounds like the owner of this truck has put a lot of recent work into it, so you would be getting a well-running machine. A long list of new items have been installed, which is quite nice. This truck is for sale through Lost & Found Classic Car Co. if you’re interested.
