We know it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but it's never too early to start shopping for the holidays. For the ultimate car lover, The Vault is hosting the Classic Car Christmas online-only auction event consisting of a collection of cars located in Jackson, Mississippi; Englewood, Colorado; and Toronto, Canada. This beautiful 1978 Pontiac Trans Am is just one example of the amazing cars being offered up from these three extensive collections, so don't miss your chance to bid on this perfect present... even if you're shopping for yourself!
This isn't just any Trans Am, though. What you're looking at is a completely unrestored car with under 52,000 original miles claimed on the odometer. There are several modifications, but this is no hacked-up Pontiac. The biggest mod might be the addition of the 1970 Ram Air Package added to the 400 CID V8 engine. This engine received HEI MSD ignition, and it's backed with a four-speed manual transmission.
While it isn't clear if this is still the Trans Am's original paint job, the decals have been replaced, and the red, black and gray Screaming Chicken is a stark departure from the overly popular black and gold Trans Ams you see running around. The factory snowflake wheels and Trans Am center caps finish off the look, and this car still has all of its intended spoilers and fender extensions. This Pontiac has been documented quite well since it was purchased new in October 1977, and this car is so original that it comes with its factory build sheet, window sticker, purchase order and other documents. Tinted windows and ice-cold air conditioning ensure this car is ready for cruising to car shows!
The best part is that you don't have to wait until the holidays to start shopping either as bidding for The Vault's Classic Car Christmas starts November 11. You can contact The Vault at registered to bid on this Trans Am or any of the 140 lots that will be up for grabs.and be sure you're
