1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Sedan Is A Family-Style Survivor

If you were going to stereotype a classic car that has lived its life as an old lady's Sunday cruiser, this 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle sedan would probably seem like too easy of a choice. As it turns out, that's exactly how this four-door muscle car has lived its life, and now it's ready for a new home through Vintage Planet.

According to the listing, this Chevelle was bought brand new and owned by the same woman for almost 50 years. In that time, it was obviously cared for impeccably judging by the low mileage (a little over 76,000 miles) and the overall condition of this sedan. The paint job isn't original, but it was freshened up about 30 years ago, and it looks smooth and straight. This Chevelle is an understated cruiser from its sedan body to its tan paint and steel wheels.

As cool as it is to see a big-block Chevelle, this four-door is packing a 307 CID V8, which is believed to be the original, numbers matching engine. Recent maintenance repairs include a brand new exhaust system and power brakes, but everything else appears to be origianl and in good working order from the gauges to the factory air conditioning.

The big question is what should the next owner do with this four-door Chevelle: leave it as is in original condition or transform it into the ultimate sleeper with an upgraded engine under the hood? We'd be happy either way!
