The '57 Corvette was the first model year to offer Ramjet Fuel Injection, the most advanced performance offering in an American production engine at the time. Tucked inside the engine bay of this classic gem is a 283cui V8 "Fuelie" mated to a 4-speed manual transmission and good for 283-bhp at 6200-rpm.

Other mechanical highlights include a 10:5:1 compression ratio, high-lift camshaft, high-speed valve system with special valve springs, spring dampers, hydraulic valve lifters, five-bearing forged steel crankshaft, special replaceable main and connecting rod bearings. A true dual exhaust adds a bit more oomph and rumble.
