These five cars and trucks were five of the coolest no-reserve lots up for grabs.

There's nothing more exciting at an auction than seeing classic cars roll across the block without a reserve. The energy is always ramped up a little bit more knowing that the highest bid will win the car, and that was exactly the case with these five lots from the Gooding & Co. Scottsdale auction event.

1987 BMW M6

BMW was just hitting its performance stride in the 1980s, and the E24 M6 was just the third vehicle to wear the BMW Motorsport badge. Less than 1,700 were sold in North America, and this Canadian-spec version has had just four owners and traveled only 46,000 miles since new! The listing claims this M6 has a rare color combination with Cinnabar Red exterior paint over a black leather interior, and this high-powered BMW sold for $42,560.

1955 Chevrolet Cameo

The Chevrolet Cameo is a rare example of Chevy's Task Force era (1955-59) pickup trucks, and this one up for grabs through Gooding is a stunning example. Fresh off a recent nut-and-bolt restoration, this truck shows extremely well. The Cameo helped pave the way for the iconic El Camino with a design that focused more on styling than utility, and this rare truck ended up selling for $64,400.

1993 Porsche 911 America Roadster

As production of the Porsche 911's 964 generation was winding down, Porsche introduced a low-volume version of the 911 Cabriolet called the 911 America Roadster. Only 250 total examples were ever built over the 1992 and 1993 model years, and they were distinct with 911 Turbo styling and handling (body, wheels and suspension) with conventional Carrera 2 drivetrain. Rarity alone made the 911 America Roadster an instant collector's item, and this one has been tucked away with just 8,300 miles showing on the odometer. With that low of miles and rarity of this Porsche, the sales price of $134,400 almost seems like a deal.

1997 Land Rover Defender 90

In 1997, Land Rover rolled out the last of its North American-spec Defender 90 Series with a low-volume run of Limited Edition models. Only 300 of these Defenders were made, and the one here is number 300 – you're looking at the final Defender 90 built for North America. This 1997 Land Rover Defender 90 Limited Edition has been well documented back to its original owner, and it's in excellent condition with less than 36,000 original miles. This Land Rover found a new home for $165,200.

1951 Lincoln Lido Coupe

Ford had some of the coolest post-war vintage car designs, and this 1951 Lincoln Lido Coupe is a great example of that. This Lincoln looks gorgeous with its two-tone paint job and white wall tires, but what makes this car even more special is the fact that it has just 28,000 actual miles. This Lincoln sold for $26,880.
