This stunning American muscle car will get enthusiasts all worked up.

Few cars have achieved the level of American muscle icon quite like this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396. It’s what pretty much anyone, car enthusiast or not, pictures in their mind when a classic muscle car is mentioned. This particular example from Art & Speed Classic Car Gallery has been kept surprisingly original, considering its age and the fact it obviously wasn’t immediately thrown into storage. Likely, it’s one the few Chevelles to have escaped a rotisserie treatment, yet isn’t left to rot in a rural field somewhere.

Call it a survivor if you will, but definitely admire how good-looking this Chevy is. While not perfect, the Cortez Silver body panels certainly show well enough to impress. Same goes for the brightwork, although the front bumper sports a fresh coat of chrome. The tires and wheels are new, which helps with looks and performance. In fact, the rubber wrapped around those 18-inch BOSS wheels are staggered from the front to the rear, giving that stance everyone seems to just love.

A four-speed Hurst shifter feels satisfying as you run through the gears, whether on the road going for a cruise or really showing what this car can do on the strip. The engine was refreshed in the past 5,000 miles on the clock, so it fires right up and runs strong.

While much is original to this car, the interior is thankfully sporting some fresh, new materials like the upholstery, seat foam, carpets, and headliner. That means no stains, no weird smells, and plenty of comfort. A new Vintage Air climate control system keeps you nice on cozy as you cruise to meets and other car events. A new sound system makes playing your favorite music hassle-free, for when you don’t want to listen to the engine’s wonderful melodies.

If you want more information about this car or to make an offer, contact Art & Speed Classic Car Gallery directly. This dealer offers an array of services, including consignment, restoration, and vehicle storage. You can also look through the other cars for sale.
