Choose Which Pontiac Fiero You’d Snag

Sometimes you run across multiple cars you’d like to take home, but you might only have room for one. If you’re a fan of the Pontiac Fiero, the following three cars are all going to be tempting for individual reasons. Each is available to purchase now, so selecting just one isn’t going to be easy. Which would you grab?

First up is definitely tempting, a 1984 Pontiac Indy Fiero with just 3,500 miles on it. Pontiac only made 2,001 of these to commemorate the 1984 Indianapolis 500 pace car, which wowed race fans as a true mid-engine American performance machine. It packs a nice 2.5-liter inline-four mated to a three-speed automatic. Just like all the other Indy Fieros, this one is finished in white with matching wheels, plus the pace car graphics, all of which looks essentially brand new. The white interior includes red seat inserts and carpeting, really adding that wow factor. This Indy Fiero is in concours condition, so you could display it in a museum or at any number of competitive events.

If what you’re looking for is something fun to really drive, this 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT is a good candidate. It packs a more solid punch with the 2.8-liter L44 V6 and a five-speed manual transmission. While not as immaculate as the Indy Fiero, this car has a mere 21,000 miles on it and looks all around fantastic, especially with that two-tone Medium Red Metallic and silver exterior. The optional rear spoiler, stock 15-inch cross-spoke wheels, and removable sunroof add to the sporty fun.

Putting a different twist in the mix is the third car, a 1988 Pontiac Fiero Formula is both rare and a blast to drive. Pontiac made 2,900 of these for 1988, the final model year of the Fiero, so plenty of people fantasize about owning these. Medium Red Metallic over gray is a desirable combination. Just as important, you get a 2.8-liter V6 and 5-speed manual transmission for plenty of on-road fun. Plenty of factory details have been well-preserved, like the Formula graphics on the doors, interior switchgear, gauges, and even the OE radio.

All three of these Pontiac Fieros are being auctioned at no reserve, so this could be your chance to get a good deal on one. The only real question is which are you going to grab?
